Painting

This series of paintings is inspired by witnessing Beltane Border Morris performances in Devon, especially on Dartmoor. The ancient pagan and Celtic seasonal celebrations they evoke, their visceral energy, raw movement, and ritual spirit spoke to me immediately, awakening a deep connection to land, folklore, and the turning of the year. Guided by dreams, myth, and the symbolic presence of crows a s messengers between worlds, my work explores liminal moments – where the sacred meets the feral and the veil between seen and unseen grows thin.

These paintings are not simply images but invitations: thresholds of fire, feather, and transformation, where old magic still dances in modern time.
